The annual prize awarded by the Brickitzer foundation for journalism and writing. Those eligible must be citizens of LEGO realms that are members of the League of Inland Cities.

The 2023 Brickitzer Prize for Local Reporting went to Martha Bellin of the Brickport Times [Realm of Brickport, Maine] for reporting on corruption in the city administration.

Of interest to Bricklyn readers, Bricklyn Eagle editor Walt Brickman won a 2023 Brickitzer for “creative writing” for his recently published “interview” of American astronaut Neil Armstrong during his 2009 visit to Bricklyn.
