Brick Rail is a quasi-public company that manages and operates passenger rail services within participating Inland realms.

It was initially structured in 1987 by the League of Inland Cities as a way of promoting high quality rail service liking realms belonging to the League. This resulted in the BrickExpress generation of passenger trains which entered service in 1991.
The new Brickstar generation of trains began operation in November 2023, with the goal of replacing all BrickExpress trains by 2029. The League has provided financial and technical support to Brick Rail for its new Brickstar service, supplementing that provided by the realms belonging to Brick Rail and by private investors.
Current Brick Rail member realms include: Bricklyn, VT; Brickover, NH; Brickpelier, VT; Northbrick, VT; Brattlebrick, VT; Albrick, NY; and Montbrick, Quebec.
