The Bricklyn Department of Outland Affairs (BDOA) has the job of coordinating with Outland communities that are engaged in commercial enterprises involving Bricklyn, or are interested in exchange programs or tours of Bricklyn. This has primarily involved businesses and residents of Vermont’s Outerlands given their proximity to Bricklyn.
Over the past year the BDOA has been especially active in working with French officials, as the Realm of Bricklyn will be, at least through 2029, be a part of France Outre-Mer, and thus also part of the Republic of France. Several staff have been added to the BDOA to deal with this new relationship.
Another function of the BDOA is to coordinate policies and programs with Bricklyn ambassadors to several major outland countries, such as Great Britain, and with the State of Vermont’s special liaison to Bricklyn.
